Introduction

Bachelor of Management Studies is one of the oldest and the first course under Un-aided program started by University of Mumbai. It is a 3-year full time degree program partitioned into six semesters. This degree engages the understudies with an extra street of independent work furthermore to advantage the business by furnishing them with suitable prepared personnel in the field of Management .

The course has its own charm and is considered as mini MBA, with wide scope of specialisation course gains more importance and gives wider exposure to students by opting in any field of their interest may it be Human Resource Management, Marketing or Finance. The course further have compulsory internship program which make students more employable. Similarly in the third year student have project which gives them insight in research work. Eligibility

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) Degree course shall have passed XII std. examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt (40% in case of reserved category). Every candidate admitted to the degree Course shall have to register himself/herself with the University of Mumbai.

Admission

Admission to the course offered by the rules framed by the University of Mumbai from time to time and will be given at the commencement of the first semester.
Candidates seeking admission other than Maharashtra board and colleges affiliated other than University of Mumbai must produce a Transfer Certificate from the board/college last attended.

Programme Outcome

If Management is the choice of vocation the ideal UG Programme is BMS as it provides wholesome knowledge of various managerial aspects in an organization, apart from incumbent awareness of communication, IT, law, advertising, consumer behaviour etc. The BMS Programme is suitable for students who look forward to becoming MMS or MBA qualified in the future.
